hi, i came back. hello.

the lilacs are out and they smell sweet. i cut my hair.

for work we zoom about in a little jet. it holds six people. i was the co-pilot the other day and it was very fun. i got to wear a head set and adjust some knobs and learn about auto-pilot and how to land a plane without going in too fast/slow/or steep. we were going about 300 miles per hour and we were 30,000 feet in the air. i was enjoying it so much more than anybody else there. i don't know if it's just because i live a somewhat boring life, or because i'm easily entertained...but i thought it was a kick.


i watched a nature special about loggerhead sea turtles. they can travel over 9,000 miles to find the beach that they were born on so they can lay their eggs. and they are not fast animals. as i was flying in the plane, i was so disoriented. can you even imagine how it is for this turtle in the open ocean? there's no landmarks, they can only poke their heads out of the water for a moment, and their eyesight is poor. they do it by instinct and magnetic fields. they just chug chug chug along. amazing.
